Contest Winner for “The Name of God”

Karen Thornock is the winner. She was the first to give the correct answer. The common name of God in the Congo is Nzambi, which is also sometimes used as a first name for males. There is likely a relationship between “Nzambi” and “Zombie.” The other answers–Kituba and Kikongo are names of dialects in the area. Kituba is sometimes referred to as Munukituba. These languages, with Lingala, are the dialects spoken where the missionaries in our film are located.
